Description
Appearance: white crystalline granules or powder, odorless, slightly bitter2
Solubility: easily soluble in water (about 71g/100ml at 20℃)
Stability: dehydrated at high temperature (>150℃) to form anhydrous magnesium sulfate, pH value is neutral (5.0-8.0)2
Density: 1.68g/cm³, melting point about 1124℃ (decomposition)
Main use
In the chemical industry, it can be used as a dye, weighting agent, magnesium dye, etc. in fireproof boards, thermal insulation boards, and printing and dyeing. It is a cement coagulant and a filler in the leather industry to enhance heat resistance. It is used in industries such as thermal insulation boards, fireproof boards, leather making, fertilizers, papermaking, porcelain, printing and dyeing, and lead-acid batteries.
Printing and dyeing: It can be used as a mordant to make the dyeing process faster, more durable and less prone to fading.
Bath salts: Like other minerals such as potassium, calcium, amino acid salts, silicates, etc., they can be used as bath salts
